Withdraw all military troops from Afghanistan

On October 7, 2001, President George W. Bush Jr started a fatal military invasion of Afghanistan as a response to the terror attack to the twin towers on 9/11 in New York. After eight years of war against terror, there are still no signs of peace, democracy and many would claim the conditions are even worse than in the former Taliban government.

And this kind of brutal behaviour just increases the already existing massive gap between the Western countries and the muslim countries. If you ask me, it is more a war that more and more people in the world oppose despite the official view that it is a war against terror and merely a mission of humanitarian purposes to strengthen the democracy in this poor country. Just during the year 2008 more than 2000 civilian Afghans died as a result of the war.

If you believe that the Norwegian military troops should be withdrawn from Afghanistan, please sign the petition for this good cause. Please also join the facebook groups: ”Hent soldatene hjem” (Soldiers, go home) and Norgeshistoriens største fredsdemonstrasjon (the most significant peace action that has ever taken place in Norway).

I also strongly believe President Barack Obama should address this important foreign affair issue and make some real change also outside their own country to repair the really bad reputation the Bush administration caused. A plead for peace. A dialogue with all parties is required with utmost respect and dignity. I have a dream...
